My last was a 12 deg Ping (my swing plane is a little upright) but it's 10+ yrs old but it flew off the shaft a while back on the range and haven't had it repaired. TIA.

I was looking at some Taylor mades over the weekend - great looking clubs but I didn't like the white color.

I love my burner superfast 2.0 3wood. Best 3 wood I've ever owned. The burner driver leaves a lot to be desired but Taylormade got it right with the woods for sure.

If you don't like the white...racist...go with Tour Exotics or Callaway X Hot. Those 3 are the longest in my experience.

You can probably find them brand new for under $150 now too.

$70 at Edwin Watts, new. But they don't made the burner in 13deg. Only 15.

RBZ fairways are pretty difficult to get up in the air off the deck. Supposedly TM made some adjustments that fixed this with RBZ stage 2. Haven't hit one of those yet though.

And why anyone who isn't Phil Mickelson would carry a 13 degree fairway wood is beyond me. Seems pretty ridiculous. I'd bet most everyone on this board would hit a 15 degree fairway further than a 13 degree off a fairway lie.

Do you use that 13 degree fairway besides off the tee? Seems like the times you would need it with an 18 degree hybrid would be sparse. How far do you hit each if those from the fairway?

I have a 9.5 degree driver, 17 degree 4 wood and 19 degree hybrid. Off the fairway, that 4 wood is a 230-235 club and the hybrid is a 215-220 club. I had a 15 degree fairway last year, but I compared that and the 4 wood together on the course one day, and I hit them almost identical distances off the fairway. My reasoning for this is because I was probably making better contact with 4 wood (aka it's easier to hit and get up in the air).

Yes, but I need it off the tee more than anything. Ill hit 3w off the tee about 8-9 times a round.

I hit the 3w off the deck maybe once a round.

As noted in the OP my swing plane is a little upright. Hence, I never had a problem getting the ball in the air. I was always trying to get a lower trajectory so even a 12* wasn't that hard to hit off the deck. And at my best my handicap never got into single digits. And for all I know you may very well be right that a 15* would be better choice even with a high trajectory.
