Why does TD log me out but not really log me out?

Randomly I get the the "you need to be logged in to post" message when I'm clearly logged in and trying to reply to something.
I'm on a MBP using Google Chrome if that makes a difference. Thanks, brah!
Also, can I get my name shortened to Lew?

i get that shite on mobile & firefox from time to time. i generally contract a case of mad when it happens
