Bought Talon last night before bed, and this is how I did my first game:

I can definitely see why, his burst is just insane. And once I got some armor pen, even mordekaiser went down in seconds. The build that I used is super offensive, since it doesn't take a defensive item unless absolutely necessary, but it worked this game at least. I may have found a third mid laner to play with besides Ahri and Syndra

It's almost impossible to play ranked by yourself. I was ADC and had a support who DID NOT ward. WTF?

Great...playing against a team with 2 plat players and a gold player...our best player is silver IV....good job Riot.

I get that, but I would think it would be just a little more even.
Wound up winning somehow, so not sure how those dudes were Plat and Gold. I shite on the Nidalee top (Gold V). there is no way I'd do that against a legit Gold player.

For bot lane I do sometimes since I am extremely familiar with those champs and the lane.
I'm currently trying new champs top and I know the builds vary based on role so I wanted some optional build pages to learn items that I normally wouldn't use on an ADC or support.

Just bc someone is gold doesn't mean they are great at everything. They may be a gold worthy player and got there with their main roles. If they main sup and play team builder to practice other roles they don't do so well.

That was my assumption as well. But if you are a gold player, I would imagine your game knowledge to be slightly above average.
This nid was doing basic things you don't do in any lane, multiple times and never adapted.
Even when I first started playing top, it only took two deaths to realize I needed to adjust my game plan.

Really? I figured you'd need to be well rounded to truly be successful at this game.
Not like it's smash brothers and you just roll with pikachu forever.
