Is there a lot of taunting and general trash talking out on the field before the snap? Stories would be great.

More talking is done at the end of the whistle until they re-huddle. Too many adjustments are made at the los. It does happen though.

Like others have said. Most trash talk is in piles after play. But I played FS and was never on the line.

I played wideout and there was luttle if any out there.

I did get into it with a guy who took a swype at my eye during a play. That was about it though.

In HS, I never really encountered a lot of trash talk at the LOS.. more was said/done under the pile.

I've had my eyes gauged, nuts grabbed, been punched, pinched and spat on, etc.

St. Amant was the dirtiest I ever played. Would talk crap non-stop. They also had a lot of sand on their field, so they would grab a nice handful before the snap and throw it in your face. One guy called me something I had never heard of in my life. I had to go back and ask the huddle what it meant. They didn't know either.

Franklin was the dirtiest team I played against. Their d-line consisted of The Big Cat Ernie Ladd's son, Rodney Ladd. Leonard Marshall's brother, Kenny Marshall. Ronald Gunner who played at ULL and was 330. Their smallest DE was the district MVP.

They pulled hair off my legs, grabbed my stuff and commented about my race several times.

Against New Iberia, a guy spit a huge loogie in my face my senior year. We played at NISH my junior year and they threw bottles at us as we walked in the locker room under the stadium after the game. They had to call in extra cops to escort us to the bus. We had a small disagreement on the field which led up to it.

Playing in Opelousas was probably he worst. The locker room was under the stadium as well and they threw all kinds of stuff on us and spit on us as well. No cops around...shocking.

My junior year at Carencro, we were on the bus after the game when a mob starting rocking it. Several guys got off and got into a large fight. About 20 cops showed up and escorted us out of town. .

Oh, and playing in St. Martinville was pretty intimidating. They were rather mild mannered because they beat us pretty good. The stadium was behind the school and the road to the stadium was lined with trees. They had dummies hanging from the trees with our numbers on them.

Every guy is different, prob like a bb game. Some did, some didn't. I coached with guys who would talk to WR's and DB's by the sideline. funny

This

Played WR and really not much talk pre-snap. After the snap it was like someone removed the duct tape and it would be nonstop until a coach stepped in or it was time to get back to the huddle. Weirdest experience was against Bastrop. DB was talking nonstop the entire game. Got a clean crackback block on him and knocked him out of the game for a series. When he came back in the play called for a stalk block and he dropped to his knees and punched me in the right knee. Said he was going to "end my career" for knocking him out. Told him he didn't have to worry, my career was going to end in a month or so anyway.

And all the white people sat on the right side of the 50 yard line and all the black people sat on the left side of the 50 yard line at St. Martinville. One of the craziest things I have ever seen.

Played DT in high school and not much teach talk at los.

Like mentioned before I've had my helmet yanked sideways, nuts grabbed and twisted, hair on legs pulled, punched in the gut, spit on, kidney punched, gut punched, and other stuff in the pile. Of course I gave as good as I got.

Really not much talk, guys busy looking at the alignment, and thinking about what angles to take and their assignment on particular play
