I love collecting bad arse tools for every little job.

That became a hobby in itself during my DIY kitchen remodel. Acquired a circular saw, tile cutter, jigsaw, random orbital sander, and a finish sander, plus various razor blades and scraping and stripping tools. Actually, it's been nearly three years, and I never even opened the jigsaw.

I know, its just a jumping off point. Ive heard that it will only work on 3d capable monitors. Sooooooo its 1080 or nothing for the time being. My monitor is compatible and they are selling the module kit so people can self install it. I might try it later.

Asus is involved in this project so I'm hoping my asus monitor will be able to mod. There are a lot of questions about this so I'm ready for reviews. Any word on when this will be out?

You have a 120+hz monitor? Linus said on his live stream that those are the only ones supported. Apparently that's what "gaming monitor" means.

I'm sure that will change later down the road.

Its supposed to release the q1 2014. So not too far away. Rumors are that the self install kit may be around 100-120. That pretty cool tech for cheap, if you already have the main hardware.

Hopefully so. I mean, if someone has already spent the money on a 120+hz monitor then they probably already bought a good enough GPU that can push that many frames. At frames that fast its so smooth that a drop from 130 to 100 isn't even noticeable. Whereas, a drop from 60 to 30 is a huge difference.60hz monitors would be the best beneficiary of the technology.Especially considering that the largest GPU market is in the less than $150 range. Making it accessible to the average casual gamer who wants to play on the best settings without spending a ton of money to do it would be great.

I've been a contractor for 11 years now. You would drool if you walked into my shop or looked in one of my covered trailers. I actually need to get rid of some shite due to running out of room and the fact that I have like 3 or 4 of everything.

I bought a $700 Stihl Pole Prunner the other day. It's so much easier to trim up shite that way vs the old way I was doing it.

I switched to BF4 because it's essentially the same game, but it's still not totally fixed yet. I'd recommend playing BF3 and seeing if you like it or can get used to it before buying BF4. The game types that Bruce and others play as teams are pretty frustrating for people new to BF (including me).

I'm trying to figure it out but it isn't very user friendly. You log into their browser to select a match and it has all these options with no real descriptions. There were no maps titles, I suck and don't know what I am doing. I gained a rank last night, not sure what that does for me.

Hey guys, y'all have helped me with my build over the last few months. I am ready to upgrade though. I had built a "budget" build with an older GPU that i had. Now i'm coming back to see what card i should upgrade to. I don't want to really spend more then $200.

CPU- i5 3750k @ 3.40 ghz.
GPU- Radeon HD 7750
PSU- Corsair CX500

Let me know if you need anymore info on my build.

What is your goal? 1080 I assume? i guess the real question is what is the best card for under $200. You don't need to upgrade your cpu

Less than $200 will get you a new or used 7950 depending on where you look or a new R9-270x (which is just a hair slower than a 7950). A bit over $200 will get you a new 760 I believe, which is even in performance to a 7950.

The 760 and 7950 are starting at $240 currently but have been lower.
7870 Tahiti is $160 right now
I don't know how it compares to the 270x but it's a good bargain, especially if you are willing to overclock it a little.

Yeah, i'm talking about a new GPU. Aren't they coming out with a new line of cards soon? Would this lower the 7950's enough to be in my price range? But my current resolution is 1680x1050. Well, that is the best my monitor can run i think?
