Sorry, he's a 8-10 year player at a high level in my eyes.

And that in the late second is terrific value.

He's missing the point, I think, I've only skimmed through these last couple pages. They're not saying its a bad pick for Seattle they're saying its too early. They could wait till the 3rd.

Picking a guy a round or two early isnt very valuable

His bust potential is huge because of flame out, let alone size.

The guy could be a punt returner and be a decent value in the 3rd, he's just gonna demand a pretty decent contract in the 2nd round.

It's too early. The only issue in this TD.com draft is that everyone wanted to be the guy to pick him, so he probably went about right where he should

For responding to people who are talking to me you think I'm emotional?

We think you're delusional, AND overly emotional.

That's fair for you to have an opinion.

My opinion is completely different. That his bust level is actually very low because of all the versatility he brings to a team.

The dude is likely to spark up a jay after he gets drafted.

He dropped out of college after 3 chances. He is Pac-Man Jones 2.0

Theres just no way to tell if hes fully commited to football. Hes had 3-4 chances and continued to blow them.

I was all on board the Mathieu train after he was kicked off (and i still hope hes a huge success) but after the second bust, how do you not lose faith in that guy to just not be a complete idiot for a while? I mean he had everything to lose by getting caught and he still got caught. If im an NFL GM, i dont know that i have anything that would matter enough to him to make that commitment. Add in that its the second round with other just as if not more talented DBs with worlds less baggage and its a very risky pick

No one is going to deny what Mathieu has done off the field is unacceptable.

But the guy never missed a football meeting, never missed a practice, never was late for anything football related. He just got high in his off time.

I'm banking on him maturing - as most everyone does. He's still very young (only 20 years old) and was an exceptional football player and leader on the field.

You can bank on his maturing in the 3rd or 4th round.

You and another poster already said y'all were taking him before Seattle's next pick.

Did I reach a little? Not in my eyes.

Mathieu is a great fit in my opinion for today's NFL. Especially if he can go to a team that won't ask him to guard other teams top receiving targets, like Seattle.
