Never made one but a pesto with Thai basil would be cool.

Cook down with wine or city stock and blend then add gelatin and you have a cool garnish for anything

I was hoping one of you pros had done a pesto. I'll do that with a good bit of flat leaf parsley...can't be bad.

Just made a parsley basil pesto...good stuff. I'll try a fried rice down the road.

Try it in a tom kha style Thai soup....coconut milk, fish sauce, a little sugar, some mushrooms, lime juice, chicken, and a whole bunch of basil, fresh ginger, cilantro, and bamboo shoots. It is also nice cut into a chiffonade and tossed into a mixed salad. Fried rice....or toss a few leaves into a pot of rice while it cooks.

The wife (MHNBPF) does a really good TK soup - nice and spicy - with pot stickers on the side if I'm lucky. I do like Thai Chicken Basil. The wife's recipe is a little different than the link I posted. Sadly it is her secret and I don't know it well enough to post. With that dish, she is the chef and I am the eater.

pot stickers
I'm a sucker for any kind of dumpling. Did 6 of these last night with a kicked up fish sauce for dipping. You can get a large sack of them at the local Mecca oriental market...not a good discovery for my weight control regime...
