Mostly on Oahu now, but I have a condo on Kauai as I used to live there for about 7 years and I go every month.

eta: Have you been?

yeah I've gone to the northshore twice. May go to Maui/Kauai next year when my son is a little older. Trying to convince my wife to move out there.

Yeah man, Kauai is a great place to live and retire but it can get boring. Maui is a great mix of Kauai and Oahu.

This is exactly my thought and why I want Jones. I think Jones will be a monster this year. I think Mingo could by next year. I'd be happy with Mingo, but I really think Jones is a game changer.

15 is kind of a shitty spot to draft in, especially in a draft that isn't very deep.

It's a spot where you can take a small risk on a player with an incredibly high ceiling and a guy that fits your scheme. Mingo has substantial room for growth while Jones is close to maxing out his frame and potential. Taking a gamble on Jones' spinal condition could also be considered risky.

Mingo can be a contributor this year, but he will wreak havoc on offenses for years to come if he's developed properly.

I really dont understand how some in this thread can argue that mingo has a higher bust factor. worst case scenario, mingo doesnt reach his full potential but still contributes as a rush end/olb. jarvis jones worst case and very real scenario, he has a spinal or neck injury in his first season and never plays again. combine that with IMO mingo having a slight edge in work ethic/character and it's a push at best, with mingo actually being the safer pick of the two.

15 has been a really good spot in drafts past. And this is a really deep draft as far as defensive players go. You rarely have a draft full of guys like Jordan, Jones, Mingo, Loutouiioiuo, Richardson, Trufant, Jones and Flloyd.

This draft is pretty deep but not very top heavy.

Of course no one knows this for sure until at least five years down the road.
