played basketball with the beastie boys at Lollapalooza 94 ... and went to a George Clinton with Nick Cave that night. My brief stint as a groupie with a certain female lead singer at the time opened some cool doors.

That is literally the coolest sentence anyone has ever said.

Mrs. Baloo and I got married at Gilley's, and after we booked our meeting hall, the Showroom booked the New Pornographers to play. So, while my wife was in lockdown, me and my groomsman got to hang out in the green room with the band and watch their rehearsal while we drank margaritas.
After our reception, they let us into the show for free (they left us 25 wristbands for our friends). We watched the encore from the sidestage and when they came off the stage, the band acted like a reception line for us. Neko Case was going to blow right past us but she stopped, clearly thought about how this story would get retold, and stopped and chatted with us. The band then went to their room where there was clearly a band fight going on over something unrelated. It was very cool of them to take time out to wish us well when they were clearly having other pressing issues going on.
They left us a show poster at their merch table, signed by every member of the band and wishing us many happy years together. It hangs in our living room.
Very nice guys. AC Newman was the nicest, and Dan Bejar is a weird, weird dude. I think he's autistic. But he was also very nice and Canadian.

I interviewed Frank Zappa back in the day before his show at the Assembly Center. Had my best friend, also a Zappa freak, pose as a photographer.

I helped plan a number of concerts in College Station and Houston back when I was at A&M so I have partied with a number of rappers from the Dallas/Houston area: Tum Tum, Big Tuck, Dorrough, Slim Thug, Trae and a few artists that traveled through: Machine Gun Kelly, Childish Gambino. Would have with Waka Flocka, Big K.R.I.T. and Yelawolf but got badly sick the night they performed.
Bumped into Chino Moreno once at ACL and didn't notice it until he had disappeared into the crowd One of those "was that so and so?" moments

There is no way that you, or anyone else for that matter, could possibly know that.

My ex wife and I talked to Sleigh Bells both times we saw them. The first time my ex told the dude he reminded her of MJF in Back to the Future.
He stopped, grabbed the chick, had my ex tell her what she had said and they both cracked up. Turns out Back to the Future is "like [his] Bible, [he] fricking loves that shite" then we snapped some pictures.
Maybe not my coolest interaction, Gregg Allman stole a cab from me once in NYC.

Smoked with passion pit outside a hotel in Chicago.
A lot of people on here would think that's cool. I thought they were douches

Did a few rails with Greg Dulli in the bathroom of the old Matador on Decatur and Esplanade in the late 90s...
Also, watching Wilco at Tips one time I was standing by the actor/director Ed Burns and we got in to a long conversation about 80s LSU basketball & Dale Brown, which he followed after we signed NY native Bernard Woodside

311 members came and hung out at my friend's apartment in Thibodaux. Talked Nebraska football with them.
Met Tommy Lee through a mutual friend back at The Chimes. He sat and ate and had drinks with us. Cool-arse dude.

Bag of Donuts played an awesome show at Freds once, and afterwards took me and a buddy to the quarter. Good times

As did I at Rabb's after his first venue there. It was me, him, and a few girls at that back tiki bar. I also drank whiskey with Chris Knight before he played at the red dragon in BR.
