Apparently LSU leads for Alex Owens, a 2015 4* PF from Orlando. That'd be a nice pull.

Looks like our 2015 class could be shaping up to be Ben Simmons, Alex Owens, Brandon Sampson and Chad Lott

CJJ is putting in work. I mean it seems like we are getting in on a lot of good players. Idc what people think Jones is laying a great foundation.

that would be a great class. i've seen lott a couple times and haven't been impressed but haven't seen enough to come to a conclusion one way or the other. he's highly regarded for a reason.

It seems our staff likes him a lot more than recruiting sites do

Looks like Owens could be our big surprise for 2015. Seems like every year Jones has a high profile guy on his radar we don't know about.

Has anyone seen Sampson play? is he the real deal?

Sampson is definitely good - like come in and start or be a sixth man right off the bat type.

Would take Alex Owens for 4 years over Deng for 2 years every day of the week.

Owens looks like a prototypical athletic energy 4-man. 6'8" 220 but plays with a ton of explosion and is a tip-back machine.

Am i the only one who things Deng Adel is way more of a beast than his ranking? He isn't even ranked on rivals and 247 but man he looks like a hell of a prospect. Reminds me of Michigan's Caris Levert with his combination of play-making ability and athleticism.

Deng Adel

He's getting a lot of attention from Louisville IIRC.

That's actually not a bad comparison.

I just saw Brent Scott hanging around campus. Does his family still live in BR?

not sure but i know he wanted to stay on for family reasons when johnny took over. wouldnt mind him back, did good work with the bigs and was a good recruiter.

him or mike sanders would be solid additions

I think Brent Scott would be a good addition to the staff.

As S said he is a good recruiter and has many ties overseas as he played Spain, Italy, Greece, and Poland.

Very good player developer as well. Very good with big men and there footwork, which is usually the difference between a good true basketball post and a big body that just rebounds.

Would love to see him come back and help guys like Malone and Odo.

I got an alert this morning that Elbert, LSU basketball, and a couple of local writers all followed Alex Owens on twitter today. Could he have silently committed?

Even if he hasn't committed, that's gotta be a good sign.
