Honestly I had completely forgot about it. It washed up here after Isaac. Hobie Sport Kayak complete with rudder and two paddles.

Only problem, the mirage pedal system is just gone leaving a nice gaping hole in the hull. Apparently replacing it costs about $500 and patching it would take just gobs of epoxy.

Anybody got any ideas?

Duh, but there's still the issue of the hole where it should be. I can't use it if it sinks.

It shouldn't sink. I've used a hobie without the mirage in

Sell it as is. They are so expensive new you can probably get $500+ for it even without the mirage drive. Then use that money, plus the other $500 you were gonna spend on a kayak and buy a Jackson Cuda or a Native Ultimate.

It won't sink unless there is a crack in the hull.

The hole is essentially one big scupper hole; even with the mirage drive in, water comes up out of there.

That being said. . . it washed up after Issac and you just put it in the shed? Ever try to find out who it belonged to? I would be careful taking that out on the water; someone around your area may be looking for it.

All I know is that I got in it and a lot of water came in throw that hole and the front strayed dipping. That's when I got out.

And we reported it to police, put up signs, asked neighbors, etc. a
After 120 days it became ours.
