Of course he doesn't. Why would you ever think so?

Javi definitely deserves a pink letter on his way out of TD Ameritrade at the end of the CWS.

Hell no. We need a scapegoat when the offense has a bad performance.

Besides, the freshman that are doing well haven't been in his system long enough to get screwed. Just look at Ross and Rhymes this year. They regressed. Rhymes is still doing well but he's human this year.

Hopefully this season gets Javi a job somewhere.

That can go both ways IMO. Its part of being a coach and subject to scrutiny.

For the most part I think that the LSU staff has done a great job recruiting, the other half to coaching.

I cant complain at this point. Where the team is now if they were to lose in the super regionals or Omaha, I would credit that to being beaten by a really good team.

Must have better players or they matured.

I don't see how 3 years of no improvement turns into a great year based on just his coaching.

I really thought we would struggle at the plate this year.

It's not like Will Davis is that much more conservative with the windmill than Javi, it's just that this team is so much faster than last year.

He needs to teach the players how to Facebook.

Though he's learning and getting better. This is not even worth discussing right now.

Especially when 3 new players are doing much of the hitting.

So, the consensus is no? So, can he ever actually get credit for anything positive? Sounds like he is in a no win situation with fans.

Pump the brakes a little with the "great" LSU offense. We are good to this point in the season but only time will tell how good. They def seem like they hit better WISP.

Part of being a hitting coach is scouting the pitching. I think Alan Dunn has helped Javi out a little which has made the hitters more aware of situations. He can't make kids hit. The talent is there every year. When its not working it is up to him to make a change and correct mistakes. He hasn't done well at that.

Those "new players" everybody in this thread are raving about were all recruited and signed by Javi.

I know Javy didn't offer Bregman to start @ SS & hit in the 3-Hole, so lets just pump the brakes a wee bit there. I also know Lamarche wasn't a Javy recruit. Most of-if not all-of the pitchers are not.

Let's step back and take pause for a moment, however. Didn't Maineiri actually decide against even naming a "recruiting coordinator"? Beyond that, didn't he tell us last year that kids, "can either hit, or they can't."

So, regardless of who the fanbase is raving about. Regardless of which recruits we're signing...Maineiri himself completely eliminated the ability for any rational, logical mind to give Javy Sanchez credit for recruiting and coaching prowess when he completely and utterly absolved him from both responsibility and accountability for the same last year.

You cannot have it both ways. One cannot shield him from blame last year only to bestow accoaldes on him this year.
