If Cam were doing poorly, what kind of things would we hear?

I'm thinking we would hear:

It is compllicated, but good.

It will take time.

This is a work in progress.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Change is hard for some guys.

Some guys are going to have to step up and take ownership.

We'll just have to see how good we want to be.

Etc. All cliches, I know, but when you hear that stuff, you know that things aren't going well.

considering the man's resume, I don't understand this line of thinking. the hype coming out of camp can be misleading but the overall consensus on Cam's ability to organise and teach are very, very positive and come from multiple levels and sources. I put little stock in the spring game and until we face someone other than our own we will all be wondering how far we've come. JMO.

You miss the point. I am not a Negatiger. I am actually happy about the hire and what I am hearing about the Spring.

The point is that if things were actually going badly, we would be hearing certain things that we are not hearing. So, instead of just dismissing all good news like it doesn't matter yet because we haven't played a game (which is a stupid argument because that means that practice doesn't matter until the season is upon us), we can actually receive the good news with some sense of satisfaction because if things were going poorly we would be hearing a whole different line coming from the team.

It was a question that basically addressed the lack of these types of statements coming out of camp. Instead of confusion, the team seems excited and they are getting it. I think that is good and should be celebrated.
