Bird nest question

I have a birds nest I removed once from a ceiling fan under my back patio and the birds have rebuilt one in the same spot. Its in the bowl of the light attached to the fan. I need a permanent solution. Suggestions?

Having the same problem on my front porch and I have removed it 3 times so far.

You can paint the ceiling blue. But I don't think that really works. Or it didn't for my mom.

Get rid of the architects. Is it legal to kill them? I think they are swallows?

Put some metal window screen over the fixture.
