My Spring Breakers review (spoiler free)

First off, I would just like to say that this is an early 2013 favorite for me. Harmony Korine has made his best movie since the brilliant Gummo.
This movie was phenomenal. James Franco acted his dick off ( he might have some of the most range of any actor in Hollywood). The four female leads were great, especially Rachel Korine who surprised the hell out of me with how well she played her part.
For the movie itself, it has experimental (self-indulgent to some) elements where many different camera techniques were used. Personally, I though it added another layer to the movie. Some shots looked like they were shot on a phone. Some shots looked like a drug-induced haze. But these avant garde elements are to be expected from a Harmony Korine film.
The plot of the movie sort of meanders carelessly the whole time but it isn't hard to follow at all. It is obviously a observation on the ritual of Spring Break and how young adults believe it to be the ultimate getaway from the banalities of life. I loved how Korine parallels the college party scenes and the scenes with the hood rats, where they all partake in the same ritual. The only difference is that for the college students, this is only temporary and perceived to be harmless fun whereas the hoodrats, this is their lifestyle.
Many people will likely be confused by the ending. I think it was great and really brought point, in a very stylistic way, that there are real dangers lurking beneath of facade of Spring Break. People get hurt, like Alien. While some carelessly accept the risks, like the Brit and Candy. I could go on and on about this film but I think I have said enough.

The most important question: do any of the main 4 girls get nekkid?

Rachel Korine gets naked a lot. She has a decent body though and she carries herself much better than her average looking pics would suggest. Benson and Hudgens get naked but you only see Hudgens for a brief moment underwater. Gomez plays a church girl so that's a no for her.
PS I realized I have a lot of typos/missing words in my review. My apologies.

Saw Spring Breakers today.
I really liked it. I'm not sure how it compares to Harmony Korine's other work (I've only seen Kids, which he wrote) but I was impressed by the way he put this film together. Its style and the use of color, editing and music basically epitomizes today's youth culture. The main cast really fit their roles well, especially Benson and Hudgens. The script wasn't very heavy but this is one of those films where the images are doing most of the talking.
I personally enjoyed the hell out of the artistic approach in presenting a story like this. Much more to it than the advertisements would lead you to believe. Not everyone will like it but there's a lot to appreciate.

The title clearly says spoiler free.

Who are you to decide for people whether they want to see the movie and not have it spoiled in an obviously spoiler-free tagged thread?
Its just a dick move regardless of how shitty you think it will be
