Has anyone seen him this tour? Is he playing his hits or mostly his new stuff?

I really hope its mostly his hits. My gf's panties will be drenched afterwards if so

I didn't get to go last week, but a buddy of mine did here in Houston. I've seen him before....you won't be disappointed. He usually will play electric, with some acoustic thrown in, then finishes with electric. He will play the classics.....but he did not play Layla. Lots of blues stuff, and Robert Johnson covers etc.

Just got back. Great show except for a couple of points:

His keyboardist was Paul Carrack, of Squeeze fame. He let him sing "Tempted". Great, I love the song.

Then, he let his keyboardist, Paul Carrack, of "Ace" Fame, sing "How Long has this been Going On?"

Then at the encore, when we're all expecting "Layla" or "Bell Bottom Blues", he lets, you guessed it, PAUL FREAKIN' CARRACK sing
"High Time We Went", a Joe Cocker song.

I dont' get it...

Agreed, great show. Stuck with his favorite strats (and acoustics) tonight. I had heard he had been going to a Les Paul lately, which he hadn't done much since Hendrix's playing convinced him to go Strat (once you go strat...).

(Ed: auto correct kills me. It changed "strats" to "starts." Need to quit posting off an iPhone. Too many typos ...)

I'm a fan of the richness of an Les Paul and would have LOVED to had heard him break one out and maybe play While my Guitar Gently Weeps (he played his solo on that on a LP).

Still, great show. Probably the greatest living guitar player with Jimmy, Stevie, Duane and Chet all having left us.

I'll give the over-carracking thing a pass because until I goggled it while bored during a mediocre Wallflowers sow, I didn't know Carrack was touring with him and I love Tempted.

How Long was a bit odd though. At least play Mike and the Mechanics or something.

Really wanted to hear Layla but glad I heard tears in heaven, and sunshine of your life.

I'll never be upset because of they didn't play one song.

The acoustic sec was really good, I shot the sheriff, got to get better in a little while, crossroads, cocaine and the two encores were all great and out to me.
