I would have been scared that thing would have trampled or hooked me after I shot him. I don't have a 2 yard pin either.

How do you place the shot that far back from 2 yards?

I hear you, moose are very aggressive critters. I guess it decided he wasn't a threat. I wish they would of shown the tracking job.

Are Moose that stupid or do they not know what a human is, therefore aren't scared of it?

I was fishing in Alaska one time and the guy I was fishing with had horses. I asked if bears ever bothered them and he said no but a bull moose got in the fence once and killed one.

They are like a honey badger they don't give a f@&k.
I think they have really bad eyesight also.

Why should a moose be scared of us? If it wasnt for weapons we couldn't kill them with our bare hands.

Both true. A moose at close quarters is much more scary than a bear at the same distance. Very aggressive critters. Thank god we don't have them in town.

I know a guy who went on a moose hunt in Alaska and they flew him in and dropped him beside a lake for a week unguided. He shot a moose standing knee deep in a lake thinking it would run back out. He dropped it in its tracks. Had to cut it up in the water.

What freaking draw weight is he shooting? That arrow did not even penetrate 1/2 the length of the shaft.

Apparently moose hate horses. Took the family on a horse drawn sleigh ride in the Rockies during a ski trip. We ran into a cow and young calf. Our driver got nervous as hell and told us to sit down and shut up. We stayed frozen and the cow just eyeballed us until her calf could get away. Took forever as the little guy struggled in the deep snow.

That shot was probably at the very back of the heart.

Lack of penetration probably from hitting offside rib.

Personally I think the dude hung in there "like a boss" considering having a 1,300 lb animal with rows of foot-long daggers standing 8 ft in front of you and a stick-n-string in hand.
