Aside from the chargrilled oysters?

I realize the rest of the food is average or so I'm told. Is there anything there that's above average?

And, then what?

Cap, the bread is a given and I would think asking for seconds could even be a given.

And then decide if you went for drinks and apps, or if you want to try the fish. That's all.

If not, order another dozen and another drink.

Are you trying to bring us to your next point?

Get a lobster. Pretty well priced and generally quite fresh as they probably move more than any other place in town. In fact, it's about the only place in town I ever order it.

YA is correct. Drago's rolls through more lobsters than any other place in town.

People always mention the chargrilled oysters, but you won't find better raw oysters anywhere in the Metro area. Their lobsters are live, so you won't find any fresher.

Drago's doesn't pretend to be a fine dining experience, and their prices reflect the type of meal you can expect there. If you compare Drago's to other similarly priced restaurants they are better than the posters on this site give them crediit for. They don't seem to be hurting for business.

A year and a few months ago, we went on a weeknight...had two dozen chargrilled, a lobster, and the duck and oyster pasta. All good. Place was packed.

Was there a few weeks ago and a friend ordered the stuffed lobster and said it was good, I did not try it.
They have another oyster dish that has some kind of BBq sauce on it that we tried. It was great.

I'd forgotten that the lobsters were recommended along with lobster dishes. I knew something else was, but couldn't recall.
