Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping guns... etc. per year.

I get off cheap. I hunt family land so I don't pay a lease and can walk so I don't have a 4-wheeler. I spend less than $1k a year for sure. I'm guessing the average is ~$400-600 including ammo. Last year was higher as I bought a new bow and climber. Who are the big spenders out there?

As a percentage of income, probably close to 20% if you include all the fuel, beer, food, ammo, etc

Biggest expense for me is fuel for offshore. ~$133.33/trip x 15ish trips = $2000
Mississippi License ~$400
Random Crap I probably don't need = $800-1000

I have a lot of sunk cost with gear already paid for

ETA: this is with minimal income at the moment

I wish I spent less than $1000. I hate thinking about this...

I probably spend (conservative estimates):

$250/trout trip X 20 times a year=$5000
$1500 in boat maintenance/year
$1000 in camp maintenance/year
$400/offshore trip X 5 times a year= $2000
Various hunting trips and gear= $2000.

So, I easily spend at or over $10K/year on outdoors. Not a huge spender, but I do my share.

Every penny I make or my dad gives me is either spent on fishing or alcohol. So a lot alot.

Outdoor related expenses including fuel, lodging and food? I don't want to know but I can promise it's easily over $5K. I've spent almost a grand on two trips to Caddo just this month alone. Hunting, Fishing, Christmas and B'day presents for the male members of the family and we may get close to 5 figures.

Oh and just about every 2 days over the summer I burn a tank of gas in our boat while wakeboarding or dicking around on the river. (55 gallon tank) so that's a good chunk there too.

hmm i really dont wana think about it

i spend $1200-$2000 each year to take a deer hunt out of state.
and hunting at the house by the time you figure in seed, fertilizer, diesel, gear, ammo, there is no telling

as far as fishing goes my main expense is gas and eating!

Hunting, not so much. I pretty much have all I need regarding gear. I usually just have to buy shells.

Fishing is a whole different ball game. I would say around 4-6K a summer.

Counting gas, lease dues, not working on days I'm hunting, licenses, and the money my wife spends while I'm hunting, I really don't want to know. If, instead of hunting and fishing, my hobbies changed to reading books and watching television, I would probably save $10,000 per year. But that would be boring, and I'd have to buy a lot of food with that 10k.
