For real...it was great. So much to do. I had a wrist band and only usedit twice.

Couldn't walk 100 feet without something worth listening to, drinking, eating etc...

Highlights:

The Flaming lips - played their entire new album and half of yoshimi. And there was an energy baby

Haim - I have seen a lot of girl rockers....none rocked like these girls. I was pretty familiar with their radio tunes....figured they would be more "poppy"....they rocked

Mofro - really fun show...except the hipster douche that asked my group of people to stop talking.

Johnny badass - was late to see earl sweatshirt...this guy was after him. He was pretty cool.

Other than some Shitty pop rap group from L.A. every other show I saw was cool.

SXSW was great. Did the usual and got free booze and food during the day at all the day parties while listening to bands that I otherwise would not have heard. Rolling Stone's party at La Zona had free Makers 46...I was in heaven.

My highlights:

Dawes
Hands
The Thermals
Iron and Wine at Central Presbyterean
The Polyphonic Spree
Clutch - They opened with Mob Goes Wild and played my favorite songs from Blast Tyrant and Robot Hive.

Did you catch the True Believers?? Been curious to hear an account of someone who has seen this recent reunion...

Here's hoping they come to Louisiana

Nope, I didn't catch them. It wasn't on the list of bands that I wanted to see. I didn't even get to see all of those! I'll check them out on spotify.

FYI there was some LSU grad at The Main serving drinks during the day. He told me they were out of the free Jameson and made me pay for a beer!! wtf

No. I tried 1 time and the line was 10 deep and I just wanted to stop by and get a drink on my way to Scoot Inn. It was 1 in 1 out I think so I just left. It's too far off the beaten path to consider going out there when there is just as much free food / drinks closer to everything else.

How was it?

I wouldn't have made you pay for a beer

It was good, we were slammed from the second the doors opened everyday but I made some good money. Some of the acts were really good, some were...interesting.

Yeah I liked it last year. I went 2 times and there was no line and lots of space.
