A guy who hasn't been able to crack the lineup on special teams in three years is now one of our top 3 linebackers. It's a little surprising.

Honestly, i've never really noticed anyone in our current linebacker group besides Lamin Barrow and Deion Jones on ST.
I'm sure Chavis isn't trying to sabotage the defense, it's crazy that Welter might just be able to do the job.

It's simple really. How many guys in their 4th year in the program who have had as little impact as Welter has had have gone on to to do great things on the field?
Eric Alexander 10 years ago? I could buy a Brandon Taylor argument but he saw the field a ton more than Welter has in his first three years.
