Florida blow-out was nail in coffin for NIT

If we're at least competitive in that game we get consideration. That performance sealed it.

I doubt it was that one honestly... It was the 4 shitty losses to start the SEC schedule (oh and playing 2 less games than everyone else)

maybe it was that we fricked ourselves by playing 2 less games than most teams

You speak as though LSU under-performed in that game.

This pretty much sums it up. Schedule 2 more cupcakes, we have 21 wins, we're in the NIT.

SEC basketball sucked bad this year. LSU didn't deserve special consideration. The team should be much better next year.

That game exposed LSU as a team not worthy of NCAA post season consideration. it pains me to say it because this season went beyond my expectations but LSU played horrible in that game. I think it was a factor but their are many others.

No not wasn't. The blowout to Ole Miss was. Win that one and we were hosting NIT 1st rd.

If playing the what if game. LSU shouldn't have lost to AU and USCe. Then we'd be at 23-10 and maybe in Big Dance.

Hey, let's face it. The expectations for this team prior to the season weren't that great to begin with. JJ came in and milked what he could out of the team while recruiting the talent needed to put us back on track for the long haul. The team actually exceeded expectations, but most of us knew it wasn't going to be a great team. We probably have had enough for this season and need to put it behind us. Meanwhile, JJ is doing a better than expected job of righting the ship. If he keeps going at this pace, just give him a couple of more years and we will be back in the big dance because we earned it.

losses to Ga, Au, and SC all hurt badly. The SEC is ripe for picking in basketball. This program needs to get aggressive in all aspects!

Just because ranters said we were a lock for NIT, doesnt mean it was so.

Personaly I don't care at all about the NIT. So no big deal

I think it was just a weird stacked year all the way around.

Absolutely incorrect. 2 more cupcakes would have further dilluted our crappy RPI and would not have helped one bit.
2 games against respectable teams might have helped....but we might have lost those games.
