If we complete the sweep of Mississippi State tomorrow, do we jump to #1?

In basically every poll? How many other teams could make a case for #1 after this weekend? 18-1 is very impressive, and we have some great wins, aside from Mississippi State.

It'll be hard to jump vandy they are pitching lights out rite now and are number 2 in almost every poll unless they loss tomorrow it'll prolly be vandy 1, lsu 2 in 90 % of the polls Monday

I really don't care what our ranking is as long as we get the regional in BR. Am I wrong in thinking that is the biggest reward for a good regular season?

Bingo. I doubt we jump Vandy unless they lose.
On another note, baseball america has lsu ranked lower because until this weekend they didnt go on the road and win. That was straight from a BA writers mouth recently.

OP, why do you give a damn about the rankings? This isn't football, and we aren't battling for a home regional yet.

The only thing that means anything is that they are top 8 in the country once the sec tourn is over. Rankings mean jack shite in March. I'd much rather be ranked lower and get on a roll at he end of the year than to be ranked #1 in March or April.

Means "0"...Kinda like Basketball...the rankings dont mean much when tourny time comes.
