Am I the only one that noticed that Hoko wasn't even supposed to go out against Lacouture???
Miles called Lacouture and VADAL, then Hoko ran up and Miles was about to stop him and saw Hoko meant business and let him go. I guess he wanted to go against the other big incoming freshman everyone has been talking about. That was a serious collision!!!!
Lael is strong as an ox. Ego actually got a quicker jump on him but Lael held his ground and pushed him back. And Ego aint exactly a lightweight. LC will own the left side!!!!
Dickson owned Hunter. Hunter walked off either embarrassed or pissed off.
Not sure what everyone was talking about with Macgee but he got straight up dominated by Louis. Like, run over and planted on his back.
Diarse looks big, but Thompson drove him back into the crowd. Welcome to the SEC freshman!!
Beckham returned the favor on the last drill though
Why didn't Freak go???
Mett vs. Rivers???
Love the spirit of the drill, but hope it's not an everyday thing. Should just be an end of the week wrap up IMO. Anyone know how often they run it?

Freak doesn't go because he is the big cat. I don't think he even went last year. Top players rarely go in this. Maybe he will 1 time this spring.

How do you pronounce LaCouture? Miles seemed to say it "Lock-a-ture" but I always thought it was "La-Coo-Ture"?

quote:This drill favors the offense. Their task is to lock up and maintain contact. The defense wants to shed blocks to be able to make tackles. So the defensive players are trying to do something they try to avoid during games. That being said, the drill builds esprit de corps as the players see how hard their teammates are willing to work to avoid embarrassing themselves in the drill. It lets the players know how hard they have to work and compete to be successful.
Offense was killing the D

Hunter needs to develop a mean streak. He looked timid in this drill.

Miles should have called Metts name to go against freak just to see his reaction.

I wish Freak would've gone. Would've been a collision!
This isn't my favorite drill. But I guess it's the safest.
I loved the drills where there would be two down lineman, a running back, and a backer. That damn running back better not break the plain!
Or where both are on their back one has the ball and you gotta roll over and pop him before you get planted.
Those two though leave a lot of room for injuries.
