What's the best tire size for a new, unlifted stock jeep? I want to run it at the stock height for a while before I play with it too much. It'll have 17" wheels. Looking for something beefy, but with good manners in town. Tall enough, but not shoehorned into the wheel well look. I like a little space there and definitely don't want it to rub. Thanks for the recommendations.

Unlifted, I wouldn't go much bigger than stock. I put my 33s (BFG KM2s) on before the lift and they were ok but would rub in tight turns. Just my two cents.

32 interco TSL's with a 4 inch lift. Barely rubs when I max turn...but it does rub a little.

Since you have a jk, 33's will fit, I would stay with a narrower tire if its just for looks. You will get better gas mileage. If you go with 11.5 and up width, you will need spacers on stock rims. You can fit 35s if you trim your fenders.
