Can Someone Tell Me What Gucci Mane's Allure Is?

I agree, I personally don't think he's that good. He's flashed some talent in an occasional verse/song, those being Haterade and We Be Steady Mobbin for me.

I know I'll get laughed at, but I've always been a big Gooch fan. I'm not "thuggin" but grew up in an area (like I'm sure most here did) that was hood as frick - I went to public school, for what it's worth. In North Missississippi, Gucci Mane is the black Jesus. I've somewhat grown out've my rap stage, but I'll peep his new stuff. He's definitely changed though. 06-09 he was on his grind. Listen to these songs I post before I get hated on

Just some random songs and he has many more that I would consider better. It just all depends if you grew up in that "trap" environment I suppose. His beats are always bangers - espescially when him and Zaytoven collab. They've taken all his older (best) mixtapes off of datpiff for some reason. By no means am I saying he's a quality rapper, but he's not nearly as bad as portrayed.

ETA: He's also a murderer. Young Jeezy (almost 20 million records sold) has the same net-worth as gucci mane. GM never went platinum and went gold once. That leads me to believe that he really did get the 'caine off like he said he did and probably still does. Street credibility goes a long way in gangster rap and he is definitely the most credible. Street Cred is how he's still relevant.

Gucci has the hood appeal tho, and makes music hood Canadians can relate to
