I'm dying to wet a line, haven't been in well over a month and a half and it will be another 3 weeks before I can get in the boat. I saw on the news the other night that they released more bass into the lagoons, but those damn things are huge.

Any ideas on how to attack them? Baits?

Real good bass fishing here

Some big perch here that I could clearly see but wouldn't bite.. Lots of people fish that big pond to the top

So it says no fishing during spawning season. I wonder how
Many people abide by that.

in the old days... it used to be pretty heavily enforced..

basically shutting it down 4 weeks prior to rodeo every year.

if you are looking for a bank fishing spot in Nola..
and city park is closed...

1. Audubon park - scenery is better too..

2. brechtel park on west bank.

3. bayou barriere (canal right after you come out of belle chasse tunnel

4. ponds in spillway.

5. canals in st. bernard - doesn't matter which one.... as long as it is one OUTSIDE THE LEVEES.

6. little bitty park in west end. go here first....

West End Park used to have a nutria infestation (might be infested again). The municipal yacht harbor hired a trapper and they fenced it off, set traps, and removed damn near 100 of them from that pond.
