Im very new to this so forgive me if I'm wrong on something or say something the wrong way.
I've been keeping up with a certain O&G co that has surface leases on some of our land. Publicly owned company and investors have been upset over returns and the CEO will be stepping down. Their stocks are really low right now and they have a ton of land under contract and I think its a matter of time before they hit big and start rolling. Considering buying shares now while low. Think they are aroun $6 right now.
How dumb would that be? I know its very risky but I don't mind the gamble.
If the company is bought out or changes names etc (if it can even do that) what would happen to my money? Does it go with the new company?
The company is Sandridge Energy if that matters. Tia
