The truly unfair part of the rule to me is that if the second leg goes to extra time, the away goals rule still applies (ie if the away team scores in extra time before penalties, it still gives them the tiebreaker if the home team then scores). A team shouldn't get an additional 30 minutes to score a tiebreaker.

Well, either I missed it or you guys are slacking. Want excitement? How about no away goal rule, straight to extra time w/golden goal.

Terrible and unnecessary rule.

Well yeah, that would have been an amazing extra time yesterday... I mean I think Bayern probably would've won but that 30 minutes would have been insane.

Read that Roma signed a huge deal with Nike. Thoughts?

I liked having a smaller Italian company like Kappa (who usually came up with cool looking kits as well) but we're "big business" now.

With the American owners it was inevitable that Roma would sign a deal with Nike or Adidas since they're focused on an all-out, worldwide marketing campaign over the next few years, with the new stadium in 2016 being a big part of that.

Of the two, I would have preferred Adidas. For some reason, I trust them more than Nike to try to push absolutely embarrassing 3rd kits and also due to their history with AS Roma, having produced some of the club's most classic kits:

On the bright side, I suppose Nike is paying a ton of money for the ten year deal and will certainly market the stuff well outside of Italy.

I like the American owners in general as the club had long been in such unsure financial hands and things like the new stadium will be fantastic. However, there's a large part of me that likes Roma not being a "Top 10 richest club" and this one of the new owners big steps towards changing that quickly.

I'm also a bit suspicious that it's ultimately an "investment" for Pallotta, where he sees a club that's always been a bit parochial but with a fairly rich history and a huge, rabid fan base in one of the most recognizable cities in the world and thinks he can triple the value in decade to resell it.

Tottenham just advanced because of this. 3-3 Agg in regular time (both teams scored all 3 at home). In extra time both teams score, and the Tots advance.

I agree... that's bs

The away goal in extra time is really shite. I don't really mind the normal time rules but today was shite.

Yeah, you are getting an extra 30 mins. I don't see how anyone sees that as fair.
