Sometimes I forget how much I like this movie. Pretty quotable too.

Not sure how much I like the story notes though. Some of them are interesting but a lot of them are just distracting.

(FWIW: I checked for another thread on it but if there is one I couldn't find it).

I like the Story Notes. I've seen the movie enough times to not feel distracted. I'm learning some interesting things.

Blasphemy! I love the Story Notes feature. I'll watch movies I don't even particularly care for if they have Story Notes.

I like the "coming up ..." quotes parts pretty much. But the little factoids sometime seem to be reaching to find something interesting.

I use this one on a daily basis with my students. Surprisingly, a few actually get the reference:

"If I have to come back in here, I'm cracking skulls."

"That's impossible sir, it's in Johnson's underwear."

Bender was funny as hell

quote:

Well not at present, but I can see you really pushing maximum density. See I'm not sure if you know this, but there are two kinds of fat people: there's fat people that were born to be fat, and there's fat people that were once thin but became fat... so when you look at 'em you can sorta see that thin person inside. You see, you're gonna get married, you're gonna squeeze out a few puppies and then

quote:

You won't accept a guy's tongue in your mouth, and you're going to eat that?

quote:

Bender: It was an accident.
Clarie: You're an a-hole.
Bender: Sue me.

Demented and sad, but social!

As an old guy, these kids seem so damned whiney a lot of the time. But it's so well done and rings pretty true that it's still a great movie .

Yea, I love the movie but it does get melodramatic, especially when they all cry towards the end. The Emilio Estevez/Andrew Clark monologue is unintentionally comic gold
