Acid Bath- Finger Paintings of the Insane

Acid Bath certainly had a sludgy-stoner sound. Among other things.

The nostalgia that the genre captures with its artworks and sound are amazing.

Village of Dead Roads- Betwee grace and dellusion

The album Dwelling in Doubt is very very good sludge/stoner metal.

Its hard to find much from this album on youtube.

I have it downloaded and enjoy it. Something to check out for those who enjoy this genre.

Sabbath isn't 'stoner metal', but this song damn sure is.

Some would argue that Sabbath help start the stoner metal sound albeit indirectly.

Not really stoner or metal, but a close cousin of both, Royal Thunder. They are opening for Baroness this summer. I love these guys and gal.

ROYAL THUNDER

QOTSA may be a really good band, but they arent stoner metal or any metal for that matter. DOWN is a stoner metal band. They sound nothing alike.

Pentagram was around in the 70s but only put out one official album. Their singer had some serious drug problems. They are back now and sound great.

The biography of Bobby Liebling (lead singer) is incredible. It's on youtube and it's def worth a gander.
