Bongripper - Miserable

Link to Stonerbixx blog on the album

quote:

Satan Worshipping Doom is still on heavy rotation around here, I consider it as one of the best things that happened to heavy music in the last years. A dark, crushingly heavy epic of everything you could possibly love in massive stoner, sludge and doom metal. Bongripper rightfully gained alot of attention through the web from countless blogs, e-zines and some highly respected music critics. They also appeared on Roadburn 2012 (a first for Europe) and released an excellent live album of their performance through Burning World Records.

quote:

Bongripper's latest is an exceptionally consistent follow-up to Satan Worshipping Doom with a darker and ballsier sound, If you though this band couldn't get any heavier, think again. Miserable is the best of both worlds, it combines all the unsettling noise and ethereal atmospheric nature of the band's early work with the extreme dirty down-tuned doom that defined Bongripper as one of the heaviest bands of today

It’s still John Garcia singing and in a way it’s his most iconic way to date. A really well and clear and balanced production, not so much down toned guitars, it’s rather crisp and I’m not going to label it simple, but uncomplicated riffing. This uncomplicatedness is most definitively a good thing

Such an iconic voice!! The music is so-so but worth a listen to fans of Kyuss/Vista Chino

Oh, awesome! I was worried I was posting something everyone already knew about. Glad that you'll get to see it. It's fascinating viewing, even for someone who isn't into that scene.
