#Saints RB Chris Ivory has has been issued a second-round tender, according to a source.

So, he's staying here huh
Posted on 3/8/13 at 6:41 pm to lighter345
he will be traded...I'm calling Arizona as the top suitor

Hes gonna stay is my guess

well we will get our 2nd round pick back hopefully...in a way

Will miss him if he goes, but shite it'd be awesome to get a second without having to trade.

We'll probably trade him for a lower round pick. There's no way we're paying him 2nd round tender money.

Hopefully a team is dumb enough to sign to a contract without a trade so we can a get a second round pick

well we're still basically trading a good player for it.

I just wish we wouldn't have gotten ourselves in this situation with keeping 5 RBs. Now Cadet will be the 4th guy and he isn't worth a shite. Pierre and Sproles are getting up there in age.

Hey after the 2010 season you never have too many RBs

yeah but Pierre doesn't exactly have a ton of wear and tear on the tires. I see him going for awhile longer...not the most explosive guy in the first place, always relied more on strength and vision. I think Cadet is plenty good enough to be guy number 4. I really wish we'd keep Ivory instead of Ingram though.

When Ingram was healthy he was pretty good IMO. I know people hate him cause he went to BAMA, but people need to just forget about that.

dude I could give a shite where he went to college. Ivory's best has shown to be way better than Ingram's best so far.

Running back by committee is one thing, but the Saints have takin it way over the top.
Still a great FO and staff.
I just look at a miami FO that just paid a back up QB 4 mil a year and ryan hartline 6 mil a year...

I sort of agree. I just really wish we were at a point where Pierre was a little older and Ingram and Ivory could be our featured backs with Sproles as a third down /receiver type.
I just wish there was a way we could avoid this bc I have a feeling well be needing another RB in another year or two.

yeah I hear you. Fortunately, we should be able to snag somebody in that mold. With the spread becoming more and more popular and college there are more and more of these smaller backs coming out if we need to replace sproles. Although I can definitely see Sproles playing awhile. He's quick rather than a straight burner, smart, and pretty damn durable. I think he plays awhile like Kevin Faulk did.
