Don't know the last time a Class A or touring pro paid a green fee? It goes with the title. Atleast from what I have seen. But I will say they usually call before showing up and arrange things.

Brec's hands are tied on the matter.

I remember like 10 years ago, some reporter from the advocate came out to our course and poured through our records trying to find out if we were giving free golf to anyone.

I don't know if it's still the same, but technically even employees have to pay.

This, dude can afford it. Can't believe he got upset over paying a green fee. Ridiculous.

I don't think he's upset at all

Apparently he didn't use the right twitter font or didn't post an emote at the end

Not saying he is freaking out or anything, but the fact that he went to twitter with it is kind of dumb.

Like I said toms is a really nice good guy from what I know. I use to work jr tour tournaments and his son played so Toms was out there a good bit. He's a nice guy. Don't know him outside of that but he seems like a good guy.

I think he was joking but still think it comes off as douchy. I'd hope he gives back to courses in his area but that's up to him.

Update

A marshall who looked to be upwards of 70 years old told the Toms group that the signs posted clearly state "90 degree rule" and those carts were parked in a manner that suggested they were taking angles more in the area of 135 degrees. The group was informed that a failure to follow the course rules will result in them being removed from the course.

Yes, and the reason I had to charge him is that I will get FIRED if I don't...no questions asked!

Probably because most courses wouldn't charge a PGA Tour professional let alone a Major champion.
