I thought all you tiger lovers out there might be interested in the big cat rescue over in Eureka Springs, AR. They just took in the last of 34 tigers, cougars, and lions from the Riverglen Tiger Sanctuary. It took them 5 months to build enclosures for all of the cats whose previous owner has fallen into ill health and cannot adequately keep up maintenance on their enclosures or feed them properly.

There was a real concern that some of these tigers could escape into the Ozark National Forest. Turpentine Creek stepped in so that the tigers wouldn't be put down. It's a huge strain on their staff and budgets to take on that many additional cats.

Here's their site, check em out. Turpentine Creek If you're ever up this way definitely go visit the refuge. If you can donate a few bucks please do. Each of the over 30 enclosures cost an average of $7K to prep and build.

If I was trolling I'd have linked y'all to my paypal account.

I've got some business over that way to take care of I'll try to visit with the owner and see what they really have an extreme need for. They've grown like crazy since I last visited there. For the new animals they cleared a 4 acre field to build the habitats.

It is a worthy cause and not one of the gazillion scams.

The only thing missing is a tear falling from the tiger's eye.
