Yes more on Monty but an even handed account. He has some things that should be read and considered on specific mistakes Monty keeps making. He finishes up with this:

quote:

I mentioned it last month, but I'm really not sure what Monty Williams brings to this team from a game planning and strategy perspective. In many ways, that really pains me to write. The job he did in holding together a rudderless, talentless, ownerless team was just absolutely tremendous. The hand he's been dealt this year -- injuries everywhere, nonexistent depth, a very, very, very mediocre Eric Gordon -- has not been an easy one to play at all

quote:

It's why I haven't given up on Monty Williams just yet. It's easy to forget he's still an extremely young coach, one that admittedly set our expectations relatively high early on in his career. But at the same time, he's making the same mistakes again and again and again at an alarming rate. I just don't know.

I feel the same way. I've been a big Monty defender, but seeing Davis and Aminu on the bench in the 4th while up by 15 was frustrating as hell. No reason they should be on the bench, while two offensive oriented players, who are limited defensively in Anderson and Mason are out there.

i think he needs to realize, there's a time to take your foot off the gas, and there's times where you need to keep it on.

This team does not have great depth and a win last night would've probably been a HUGE morale boost for this young team in knowing we can hang with these superstars like kobe and dwight, we can hold our own. your arguably best big man who is young, but was dominating for 16 minutes of the game not getting a chance to close out the game in the 4th is ridiculous. I know tanking is one thing, but this is one of those games where we should've just won it outright and forget the tank motion

I'm not going to lie: I lost a lot of faith in Monty last night for these very reasons. He gets another year with me, but...I question him as a legitimate coach.

I was really high on monty going into this year. The job he did last year was phenomenal.

This year hes seem lost and sstubborn.

Last year he hadno pressure and excelled.

Years 1 and3 with any pressure he huddles up and does his I know best and will show everyone. If you are a fanfavorite you better hope people dont ask why you dont play 4th. The more people want you the further he will push u down bench

It will be interesting to see how he and the team respond to that debacle on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

They've cancelled practice today. I wonder if this is a day of reflection or if Monty is too busy getting his arse chewed to have practice.

quote:

The New Orleans Hornets will have some extra free time on Thursday to reflect on the sting of Wednesday night's embarrassing 108-102 loss to the Lakers: the team called off its scheduled practice.
