Loser Dinner in NOLA?

So I'll be alone for a couple of hours (not forever alone) in downtown NOLA Friday night. I need to find a spot where I won't be stared at or ridiculed for eating by myself in a corner for dinner!
Wife returns from her excursion about 9pm and I'm sure as hell not waiting on her. So any help would be appreciated!

I'd go to Erin Rose and grab a killer poboy in the back. Making friends at the bar is easy.

Eat at the bar at anyone of a number of restaurants. I love eating alone like that from time to time.

Haha, you would be surprised, you're fine at nearly any restaurant in NOLA. You said downtown. I would consider Herbsaint(Warehouse Dist). They actually have some small tables near the bar that would be slightly away from the main dining room. Food is great.

Go to Cooter Browns and get shitty. Eat a muff and some wings. While this may seem silly, it's just what I want to be doing right now.

Wow. Really? I find Adelaide to be another reason people hate Hotel Restaurants.

Um... anywhere. This isn't high school. No one is going to judge you for eating alone.

Sit at the bar and get a burger from Mr. B's Steakhouse

Also, Ernst would be a good choice for casual bar dining.

frick it, own that shite.
Dress up to the 9s. Go to Stella! and get a two top. Get the most expensive tasting menu with wine pairings for two and pretend that there is someone across from you.

Dickie Brennan's streak house has a great bar for dining in.

This.
Or, for more upscale, the dining bar at Emeril's.

Borgne has a nice bar area to eat solo and they have a great happy hour till 6. Although service sucked bad when I went there.
