Gotten through 2 episodes so far and I've very much enjoyed them like almost all of HBO's miniseries.

Paul Giamatti does a fantastic job and kinda chuckled when this guy was cast as Benjamin Franklin

Who else seen it and what were your thoughts on it?

I watched the first episode when it aired and was aired crazy through it. Not sure if it was the timing or the expectations I had on it but I will eventually give it another watch.

This is an amazing mini series! Tom Hanks and his Playtone production company always deliver when recounting history with accuracy, as well as being entertaining. I own the DVD's and rewatch them every chance I get.

The first few episodes are great, but I thought it got kind of dull as the series went on.

I bought it on Blu-Ray a few years ago, and like many others I've talked to, I watched the first 3 episodes and then haven't picked back up. It began to drag during the middle of the series. One day I will finish it, but I have plenty of other things on the DVR to watch first.

BTW: I started watching Deadwood last night, I hope it doesn't have the same curve as Adams does. The pilot episode was pretty good.

Great miniseries IMO. My only complaint is that it slows down quite a bit on the backend, but it makes sense given what they're covering. Laura Linney also doesn't get near enough credit for her portrayal of Mrs. Adams. The cast as a whole is great.

I watched this and was excited when it came out. Ironically, the only parts I remember involve George Washington. He talks to his wife for about 75% of the show. Terrible.

It is alot like Deadwood. Great start, great premise. Really loses it midway through and the finish is terrible.

The show taught me that Edward Rutledge was something of a dandy.

Well she was kind of influential in his life so I'm guessing that may have something to do with it.

Great Premise?! It's American History! So yeah, I would say it had a great premise.

Kind of off-topic, but I came across these recently and thought this would be a good place to drop the link. It's scans and transcriptions of correspondence among the Adams family, largely between John and Abigail. Pretty cool stuff if you're into it.

Very cool stuff there. When the book by David McCullough first came out, I was led to that site to see just how accurate the information was that he was basing his book off of. McCullough took all of the information he used from those letters for the book and remain exceptionally true. As you could see, the production company of the mini-series stuck true to it as well.
