Why is the football team outfitted by Nike, the women's team is outfitted by Nike but the mens bball team is outfitted by Adidas

I read that Nike may have dropped them following the Patrick Dennehy murder situation.

Just separate contracts.. not as common these days, but LSU Basketball used to wear Converse and LA Gear, but football did not..and LSU Baseball did not always wear Nike gear.

Their baseball team wears under armour.

so called "all-apparel" contracts aren't too common. most universities have different outfitters for different sports. i would imagine that once the adidas deal expires, baylor will go with nike.

Ohio State is all Nike, all the time.

Yep... up until a few years ago, LSU Baseball was contracted with Russell Athletic, IIRC

Don't forget the Sports Belle years.

I can't see the Patrick dennahey thing making sense because that happened so long ago, I'm sure several contracts ago. I understand have different contractual obligations with smaller sports like baseball, tennis, soccer, ect but separating mens and women's bball and mens bball and football seems odd and I don't see any other major university doing this ...like Ohio state is a Nike school, UT is a Nike school, Kentucky is a Nike school, Florida is a Nike school.... Michigan is an Adidas school, UCLA is an Adidas school, Indiana is an Adidas school, notre dame is an Adidas school.... What does Baylor consider themselves

UT is an adisas school not nike

Considering we haven't been Nike in years I thought it was pretty obvious he was talking about the burnt UT.
