Those two dudes have to be the most legit talents at Pine High in my lifetime (32 yrs btw)......I sprained my ankle a few times playing in that cow pasture they called a football field back then.

yes the cow field with the crooked lines and uneven playing field. They have a much better field now since they built a new school in 2007, complete with sprinklers and the everything!

We probably played together, I am 35 and went to Franklinton. I was a running back.
These guys look good but remember the competition week in and week out is much weaker at Pine. I would like to see what he does against teams like Franklinton and Kentwood.

this kid derrick would start at any school he went to in parish or out of parish. he is by far the best athelete in washington parish. playing against weaker talent doesnt have anything to do with his talent. Franklintons schedule isnt what you would call tough either.

He is an athlete that's for sure, but just about every pass he threw was a jump ball against 5'8" 150lb weenies

For every Salmen and Jesuit on FHS's schedule Pine has a St. Thomas and Springfield man. FHS also has the juggernauts that are Varnado, Hammond, Pearl River, and Lakeshore. Pine's district also had 4 teams make the playoffs with one reaching the semi's. So no competition is not the main reason for those highlights.

You can't honestly be comparing St Thomas and Springfield to Salmen and Jesuit.
