Carhartt has sizing by chest size; 42, 44, etc.
Are they pretty good?
Just for general outdoor work, not as much for hunting.
I 'bout froze today...

Yes.

Carhart is great stuff. I've got 2 sets of em, one with a little bit of insulation, and one with a lot of insulation. I've worn the thinner ones hunting a few times sitting in a box stand.

Thanks, Roger.
If they work well for you, I expect they will be fine for me.

Yes they are good. Walls also good.

They are good, but the sizing is weird. The inseam is always way up in my crotch. I'm talking about nuts rolling around when I walk high. They are solid coveralls for the price though. I have found that their clothes shrink significantly if you wash them wrong

My dad has a carharts and I have Dickies, not really much difference between the two to me. Either brand will get the job done.

About how tall are you, Hammer?
I wear a 42-43 coat and I saw that you could order them like that. I'm about 6' so I wasn't going to get a tall.
I had the problem you are talking about with the last pair I had when I worked offshore 25 years ago, though.

I haven't bought any new ones in years, but the old ones i have work better than anything else I know of.

I've got a couple pair of Carhartt double front pants I bought three years ago and they still look fairly new. Put them through some pretty rough spots too. Stuff is durable as hell.

I am probably 6'1 with boots on. My normal pant size is 33x30, but I think the size was like a 36 long that actually fit me. I have a couple of pairs of bibs that are the same way.
The only Carhartt pants I have that still barely fit me are 34x30s. The rest are 32x30s, and even my little brother can't wear them. Just don't wash them and you should be good. Definitely get double front if you are gonna be doing any type of hard work or work around briars
Go try them on at BPS or Cabelas.
If you wanna be a boss, look at Filson Tin cloth stuff. Those pants last a lifetime, and are made to not be washed

I wear carhartt but have some cheap walls FR brand that doesn't hold up as well.

Filson
I have a few Filson items and they are all damn good quality.
I don't recall if they had a one piece coverall deal, though.
I wanted something that I could take off as a single item after it warmed up, like it usually does down here.
It was pretty chilly this morning at 5am.

I've got a set of their pants and the cruiser jacket. Definitely high quality stuff. I almost felt bad using it in the woods. I think they just have bibs though

Are their pants good for briars and such?

Carhart insulated bibs were on sale at Airline Academy in BR for $49 last week. Regularly $89.
