We went there for lunch and we were a little disappointed. The ettoufee was sub par and the fried fish was only one piece in the lunch. The highlight was the alligator sausage and the brouette (sp) appetizers. Those were both amazing.

Anyone have any other suggestions for when we go next time?

I've been there a few times and have always been underwhelmed.

The bread/biscuits they bring out to start are great.

I've had the fried shrimp po-boy and it was pretty good.

Best thing about the place is the location/view.

We went about a year ago. It wasn't a bad experience or anything. The food was good and the atmosphere was ok. The only thing great about the restaurant is the view.

I've been three times and had a good time more because of the people I was with than because of the food. They really need to step up their game. It's a pretty spot.

Regatta is good for what it is, I think their poboys are solid. The pork dish is good.

Beer is cold, and the company is always great

I am told the steaks are really good at this place.

Can you or anyone expand on that?

I have not had a steak there, but I think one of my friends did. I will ask.

I really think that I'm not ordering the things from the menu that are probably the most interesting. I'm always looking for something tasty that fits within a relatively healthy framework. I've had their grilled shrimp, served with a salad and a side of grilled asparagus. I think I had some of my husband's red wine mushrooms, too. I've also had a cup of gumbo (no rice) and their "Galley Salad" which has shrimp and crab meat. That salad disappointed me the most. The seafood salad at Riverside Inn beats it 100 times over.
