I grew up with very little music in the house. Parents were older when I was born. The only music they owned was Hank Sr. and some Cajun compilations with stuff like Opelousas Sostan and Lache Pas La Potate.

Four older sisters. That did not help. K-Tel compilations, The Carpenters and that's about it. I blame them all for my musical dysfunction.

PowPow/Nanny (dad's side) - Hank Sr., Gospel and that's about the extent of it.

Grandparents (mother's side) - They were strictly country fans. They listened to everything from Hank to Hank to Alabama to George Jones to Johnny Cash to Joe Diffie to Garth, etc. They stayed current with their love of country music until mental illness set in. Then they started blowing money like they'd won the lottery and racked up a ton of debt.

Dad - classic rock, 60s to current country, some alt rock

Mom - country, christian, classic rock, pop

my aunt and uncle let me listen to hip hop and rock and the ilk.

I'm the oldest sibling, cousin, etc. so I was always the one looked up to. Some of my Dad's music that I took to were Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, and James Taylor.

Some of the ones I didn't take to were stuff like Merl Haggard, John Denver, Bonnie Rait, and an assortment of country music.

My Parents: Jimi Hendrix(Dad), Led Zeppelin(Dad), Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd (only Dark Side of the Moon), Leon Russel, Tears For Fears (Mom), Leo Kottke, Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, Neville Brothers, Tracy Chapman (mom), Beethoven, Return to Forever, Santana, Gato Barbieri. Various other stuff but these were their favorites for the most part. I'm sure I'm forgetting some major ones.

ETA: The only band I remember my sister really liking was Sublime.

My parents' car radio was always on either 50s music, country or zydeco. Sometimes my mom would have it on top 40.

Parents: Dixieland, Benny Goodman, Sinatra, Harry Belafonte are the ones I remember most. I'm glad I got to hear Sinatra's music as a kid; I'm a big fan of his 1950s albums.

My dad is the one that got me listening to Pink Floyd.

My parents used to have a pretty bad arse record collection. I didn't really get into all of it but my dad was more into Led Zeppelin, Eagles and some rock from that era. My mom liked some of the softer music, The Mamas and The Papas for example.

My brother didn't really shape my music tastes that much growing up. He liked rap through most of high school and while I do have some songs I like, I'm not much on rap music.

We were a big music house except for pop. He listened to a little Marty Robbins and Roger Miller. But it was mainly fuzzy arse AM radio Braves broadcasts and Rush Limbough.

Mom was a hippy/born again Christian. She had lots of old Hendrix, Janis and the like vinyl from the old days. But mainly listened to stuff akin to the Carpenters and lots of Christian music.

Two older sisters. They stayed on the cutting edge of 80's pop. Bangles, The Go Go Girls, Michael Jackson, Prince and the like. Then later is was Too Short and Easy.

I remember listening to my dad's vinyls as a kid. The one that sticks out the most was Herbie Hancock.
