Has College Football Coaching Become Too Complicated?

Seems like a Play has to go through Position Coach, to Coordinator, to Head Coach's Playlist. Seen many unneeded Timeouts due to Confusion

according to this board, Les is the only one that handles that. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

Only football "Mavens" really understand it these days.

I wonder if this will carry over with the Eagles.

It just seems that some plays go through so many Channels before it reaches the Field - resulting in unnecessary Time Outs. Both Offense, and Defense.

You haven't seen this happen? "Couldn't get the Play/Formation in on Time."

Yes I have seen timeouts called because of confusion... where the frick are you getting that its because the play was called by a position coach... then to the coordinator... and then head coach.
Thats just not how it works. It happens on Defense usually because the Defesense realizes they have a bad play call based on how the O lines up, or maybe the O lines up in a formation they haven't seen so a coach will call timeout to talk it over...

I played in college. Not a coach.
I have never seen the kind of thing you are suggesting happens on a regular basis...
And apparently no one else around here has either, judging by the responses to your OP.

OC gets info from position coaches, but they don't call plays.
OC (if he has the ability to call plays) signals them in
HC (If he calls the plays) signals them in.
Simple.
