Tonight's match up involves the 2 hottest teams in the NBA right now and likely the two teams that will meet in the Finals.

Last time these two teams met, the Heat used their phenomenal offense to score 86 points while their defense gave up a respectable 104 points to the Grizzlies.

Matchup to watch:

Lebron James, who some people say is the best offensive player in the NBA, will be followed around all night by Tony Allen, who everyone says is the best defensive player in the NBA.

Predictions:

Grizzlies: 101
Heat: 91

I can't imagine there are too many Heat fans on this board. This board is full of intelligent sports fans and not too many bandwagoning assholes.

OP comes out guns blazin'. Hope Allen can somehow slow down LeBron. How's LeBron done throughout his career against Allen?

I agree this will be a fun game to watch, but a finals preview? No way IMO.

The Grizz play great defense & have the best big men in the league, but they are somewhat anemic on offense. No way they can get by the stiff competition in the west. OKC, San An, Denver, LA Clips. I just don't see the Griz doing it. I like to watch them very much and Gasol is one of my favortie players in the league, but I don't think they have what they need to make a deep run in the playoffs, much less make the finals.

I hope I am proven wrong.

I am secretly hoping for a Grizz / Pacers finals.

Not sure Tony Allen has ever even guarded LeBron. Gay has always done it. It's really not a good match up because of the size difference anyway. Tonight Prince will be guarding LeBron mostly.

Yeah, that's why the Bulls and Celtics have one the last few champsionships.

Oh hell no.

I'm a Bulls fan, but if say that or a Bulls/Grizzlies matchup in the finals happened, ugh...

Go Grizz! I might have to check this out if it is still on when I get home from dinner.

Grizzlies half-court, plodding style with two solid big men will bode well for them in the playoffs when the game slows down.

The Grizz-Thunder WCF series may be the best series of the whole playoffs.

David Stern would make a call to the officials during the Conference Finals to make sure these didn't happen.

The Grizz/Thunder series two years ago was definitely the best series.

Grizzlies - Pacers finals would be awful. The ratings would blow, neither team has a household name, and every game would be 75-70.

So you let the ratings decide what is good and what is bad? Do you love 2 1/2 Men? Are you some sort of sheep person hybrid?

It would be awful for the league.

It would be awful for fans for the other reasons I listed.

Yes, every single finals should be between high payroll, big market teams that poach superstars from small-market teams and further the inbalance of power, cause that's really good for the NBA in the long run

It would be great for the league. It would show that two small market teams can compete for championships and force everyone else to step up their game. You act like it would be a nuclear bomb setting the NBA back 100s of years.

Thanks for looking out for the fans. You're like the batman of the NBA tv ratings.

The Grizz can matchup with any of those teams. Playoffs are about defense. Guess what they're good at doing?
