I have been keeping my eye on AGNC another REIT company. They company is fairly young but has been able to maintain a high dividend so far, currently about 15%. Is there any way this is sustainable?

Interesting find - they are one of the newer breeds of MLP's experimenting in variable distribution, which makes them much more difficult to price, thus the higher yield. What makes you say that about ETP?
Edit: yahoo's calculated yield of 18% is based off one quarterly distribution, so there's no way that's what you're actually realize.

Just looking at it historically and what I've read.
I'm one of those people that MBer pros wouldn't like picking stocks.
I honestly need to learn how better to research stocks, just haven't had the time.
I've made a few good gambles but taken my hits as well.
Most recently went for a wild ride with RAX, then came down with it. I saw the signs but didn't know well enough what to make of them until after.

I bought CVRR around $24.90 then added to it when it pulled back to around $28.50.

Owned AGNC most of last year. Bought around 28.00 and sold when it got up to 36.00. I keep it in my watch list to buy again at some point.
Ive owned FGP for some time, which pays a nice dividend, as we'll as GABUX which pays a dividend monthly.

I've been following NTI since this thread debating if and when to buy - it is getting hammered today and I'm not really sure why. CVR/CVRR are both up significantly today.

4Q results came out. EPS came in at $1.08 missing expectations of $1.46. Revenue was $1.2B, which was above estimates of $1.1B
refiners have had some trouble the past week. not 100% sure why as i haven't studied enough, probably gov't regulation, taxes, etc.
I got out of NTI around $31 and am waiting for it to find a floor to re-enter. getting that dividend in Feburary was sweet.
Moved my money to CVRR at the time
just FYI - also dumped my RAX the other day and took a hit. put it in VMW for some gains though.
edit 2 - playing with fire too much lately.

I am loving my CVRR. I am also really watching UAN and will probably buy soon.

That's what has me scratching my head. The distribution was already declared and paid - so assuming they had coverage the normal MLP investor shouldn't care about earnings, right? I'm thinking there had to be some negative guidance on the earnings call or something.

HCLP-Trading under $19....$1.90/unit dividend. It is a MLP that provides the special sand used in fracing
