I have watched him play since LSU played A&M in the Cotton Bowl and have always been impressed with his hands and ability to get open on routes.

After a 4.3 40 at the Combine, what round do you think he will go in? I think he would be an awesome Saints pick in the 3rd or 4th as a Wes Welker/Terrance Mathis possession kind of receiver that also has some ability to hit the homerun.

I think the Saints lose Devery as a cap casualty and will need another receiver even with the addition of Morgan and Toon.

Thoughts on his projection?

Tavon Austin at 15, if available. He's a better fit.

Every white WR is compared to Wes Welker

I see some Jordy Nelson in him

he's not under contract. He's already gone unless they sign him to a new deal.

Looks like a 2nd or 3rd rder to me, which I don't see as too practical with the many other needs

With the needs we have on D, I'd be disappointed if we use a 3rd on a receiver, if he even lasts that long.

Why do people continue to want to use the few picks we have on the side of the ball we don't need help on? FFS! They are basically the same players on offense that set the NFL record for yardage gained. Yet you don't want some upgrades for the defense that set the NFL record for most yards allowed....... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Theres this thing called free agency and the Saints can improve their new 3-4 defense there. Why pass on the next Percy Harvin, minus the concussions, if he's #1 available on your big board at 15.

Havent the Saints found better luck drafting defensive players in the later rounds in the draft then in the 1st?

Anyway, the Saints are going OL at 15 if Bushrod isnt resigned.

With what cap room?

So they should never draft a defensive player in the 1st round?

Who are you referring to? Ryan Swope won't be #1 on anyones board in the 1st round

He's a good player who will be a nice pickup in the middle rounds. I can't imagine the saints don't go ALL in on D players this year though.

There's going to be cap room to sign a few defensive free agents. No Saints defensive 1st round player, maybe excluding Will Smith, has lived up to their status under Sean Payton. Im not saying Im against drafting one but most of their successful ones come from the 2nd-5th rounds.

From what I'm hearing he's a "High Motor Guy" and a "Possession Receiver".
