Hatch Chili pepper plants or seeds...

Wondering if anyone knows where to get some hatch chili pepper seeds or plant & if anyone here has ever been successful planting them in South Louisiana. Most of them come from New Mexico-very dry & arid-, just wondering if they'd do well in the hot, humid, tropics of S Louisiana. TIA

looks like you need the actual type of pepper, hatch is just the place
