Anyone drinks this frequently? Any input and opinions?

I make my own, obviously enjoy the stuff, but I don't buy much commercially.

Basically it's honey wine, sweet and stronger than most beers.

I drink it quite a bit. The Cove has a very solid selection. Several stores in BR carry smaller selections, and really aren't that much cheaper.

ETA: assuming you are in BR. I'll try to remember the brands I've had an enjoyed. Vikings Blood is a pretty popular starter mead, though I find it to be somewhat mediocre. There is a South African brand I tend to enjoy more than most. Very solid fig mead.

I was going to try a bottle. I had it once at a renaissance festival a few years back and it seemed good. Wonder why it's not very popular (meaning I never hear people talk about it)?

One of the best things I've ever had to drink was a mead trout bandit made years ago. Pretty simple from what I recall but easy to f up as well.

Don't know if I've ever had it commercially but if I saw it I'd buy and try it.
