would you consider the MVP voters to be lazy? 4 in 5 yrs? Bill Russell did 4 in 5 but Jordan won his 4th in his 9th yr. Same with Wilt...4 in 9yrs. Im sure missing 1.5 season helped in Jordans case but I just get the feeling that people are scared to not vote for Lebron.

Keep in mind that Jordan has 5 MVP's but when he won his 5th he had already won his 6th NBA title. Bulls went 69-13 in 1997 but the award went to Karl Malone.

Mike n Mike threw out Tony Parker this morning and they brought up some good points with him, especially him carrying the team w/o Ginobli and Duncan. It seems the Melo love has ceased and Durant's name isnt even mentioned as much anymore. Chris Paul and James Harden deserve to be mentioned as well.

Is it already a given for Lebron?

They gave it to Karl Malone one season when Jordan clearly deserved it

...thats true, but my point is that Lebron will have won his 4th in 5yrs. What is the MVP award in the NBA? The best player or the player that leads his team the best. There is a difference. Lebron is the best player hands down but Tony Parker has his team in the best position with the best record.

Not lazy, just accurate. Particularly this year. Lebron is just owning the NBA right now and he deserves the MVP - again.

Mentioned, maybe. But Lebron is having an all time season right now. The only conversation is who should finish second to Lebron.

Neither. It's the most valuable player. The player that means the most to their team's success

The way I look at it is this: The MVP is the player any team would take with the first overall pick if they blew up all the NBA rosters. Lebron James would be the first player chosen by every team, without question. That makes him the most valuable player in the league, IMO. Don't get me wrong though, I'm a die hard Spurs fan and would LOVE to see Tony Parker win it. But it's not gonna happen.

MJ owned the NBA in 93 and 97 and lost to Barkley and Malone. He wpuld rightfully have 7 then.

Just seems something has changed with how they vote ever since Nash won his 2nd MVP...I know some people who were stunned actually. Think about this...Shaq and Kobe only have 2 between them and Nash has 2 by himself?

Parker has one great game on nat'l TV and all of a sudden he deserves the MVP. Quit listening to the talking heads.

LeBron DISMANTLED he and the Thunder head to head

Chris Paul and James Harden

Yes, a case can be made, but NO they do not deserve it over what LeBron is doing.

In case you haven't been watching, LeBron is on one of the most historic runs in NBA history, practically averaging a triple double for his team night in and night out. Without LeBron the Heat would not be the team they are right now. He makes it run and he's what makes them elite. Wade is not Wade and Bosh can barely be mentioned as part of a big 3 now. LeBron is dominating practically every facet of the basketball game in a way that has never been seen before.

There is LeBron

and then the rest of the NBA. So yeah, he deserves a 4th MVP.

Off topic: anyone remember that year when David Robinson put up 70 points in a game in the most obvious rigged game of all time so that he could get the MVP?

IF this is how you view the award then the case can be made for several guys. Miami would likely be in the top 3 teams in the east (being conservative) without Lebron. Paul, Durant, Parker could have a bigger overall impact on the position of their clubs yet aren't near the player Lebron is.
